4th Jun 2012

Jetstar is going to have its first delivery of Boeing 787, better known as Dreamliner, in December this year. The first of the three new jumbo aircraft will be put into service on August 2013.

During a press conference held last week in Sydney, Jetstar Australia New Zealand CEO David Hall has confirmed that the launch will take place in August of 2013.

By then, Jetstar Australia will become the world's first budget airline to operate Boeing 787, said to be the largest aircraft to date. The aircraft is set to be launched on August 2013 and is going to be followed by two more planes towards the end of next years.

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner's maiden flights will serve Bali, Honolulu and Japan as opposed to previous announcement. The initial report has it that the maiden flights will serve the cities of Auckland, Beijing and Melbourne from its hub in Singapore.
