Qantas Now Offers Pre-flight Meal Order

27th Sep 2013

If you had been traveling with Qantas on international flights via economy class, you would surely welcome the airline's latest offering for its passengers, pre-flight meal ordering service.

Sept 13, 2013. Unlike before where only passengers on business class in select international flights were given privilege to avail of the service, Qantas passengers on premium economy and economy classes are now able to choose their inflight meals online even before they step on the aircraft.

The recently launched service was only offered to business class travelers on select international flights. The airline's Select on Q-Eat program shall be rolled out in staggered bases to all overseas flights with Premium Economy class and, before the year ends, passengers in economy class will be able to get the same service as well.

For example, travelers between Dallas, Texas (USA) and any point in Australia will get to enjoy the service beginning today if their flight is departing on September 16. Those who depart from Los Angeles (USA) on September 23, they can place their order online starting September 16.

The airline assured that the service will be offered to passengers on all flights between London (UK) and Dubai (UAE) and any point in Australia.

Passengers can place their order online through the 'Manage Your Booking' facility of the airline's website, qantas.com, as early as 7 days ahead and as late as 12 hours prior to departure.

Starting September 13, the Select on Q-Eat program has recently been offered to business class passengers on international flights to Australia departing from Honolulu, Manila, Bangkok, Narita, and Shanghai.
